Kathi Toepel, Member at Large

For over 15 years, Kathi has been involved in the Mother Lode communities assisting with developing and securing funds for programs and services that enhance the lives of those with access and functional limitations. Kathi’s vision of developing a transportation program for those unable to utilize traditional transportation options became a reality in 2014 when she and staff of common Ground Senior Services developed the Silver Streak Transport Program. A program that provides older adults, veterans, and individuals with disabilities options for rides to health and wellness appointments, including out-of-county transports to specialist not available in Calaveras.  In 2012, Kathi received a Community Health Leadership Award from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for her work with older adults.

Kathi, along with her husband, Pat, have two daughters, five grandchildren and have lived in the Mother Lode since 1990.
