Pharmacist Kim Pham has opened Sunrise Pharmacy Inc. inside the Valley Springs Health and Wellness Center at State Route 26 and Vista Del Lago Drive.

It has been slightly more than two years since CVS Health purchased and closed the competition, Foothills Drug Store, which was located in The Terrace shopping center, just across the street from the new pharmacy.

Pham has been a pharmacist for the past 25 years. She graduated from the University of California, San Francisco pharmacy school in 1995.

“I love the charm of small towns where the people know everyone and have a special camaraderie,” Pham said about her decision to open a pharmacy in Valley Springs.

The pharmacy is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, closed weekends and on holidays.

In addition, Sunrise Pharmacy Inc. just became a training site for any high school graduate who is interested in a career as a pharmacy technician. Her sister Lisa Nguyen is going through the training at this time and also serves as a pharmacy clerk.

The pharmacy’s phone number is (209) 772-9088 and Pham’s email is kimpham@alumni.ucsf.edu. Any high school graduate interested in becoming a pharmacy technician can contact her there
